Our History
When Susan & Dick Goda retired, they were looking for a fun way to supplement their pension.  During a trip to the West Coast, they discovered a self-service dog wash and instantly loved the idea!  They discovered that the first self-serve dog washes began in the early 1990s near the San Diego beaches, as a place to wash a dog after a day of sand and surf.  Most of the existing facilities, however, were fairly primitive and lacked customer amenities.

As Susan and Dick researched further, they discovered that many dog owners would love a convenient, inexpensive place to clean their pets -- without making a mess in their own homes.  Deciding to appeal to upscale dog owners, Susan and Dick designed a new type of self-service pet washing facility.  The result of their efforts was Puppy Tubs -- a convenient, clean and fun experience for both dogs AND their owners!  For customers who don't care for the "do-it-yourself" approach, they also added professional grooming and bathing services.

Susan and Dick opened Puppy Tubs on November 8, 2001 -- and happily, their business has really gone to the dogs!  In December of 2006 they expanded to include daycare and boarding.  Their unique services and superior customer service have earned them a loyal clientele.
